Fourteen graduating University of West Florida students are showcasing their bodies of work at “Resolution,” an exhibition that wraps up this evening at the UWF Innovation Institute in Belmont-DeVilliers.

University of West Florida art professor Thomas Asmuth continues to forge a reputation as an innovative explorer of experimental media by blending art, science and technology.

Along with colleague Sara Gevurtz, a Virginia Commonwealth University instructor who has a biology and environmental science background, Asmuth is working on a Florida Research Fellowship-funded project that uses remotely operated submersibles to collect data and images of the turbidity of water.

UWF TAG Gallery Showcases Student Work

The University of West Florida’s TAG Gallery is showcasing work from introductory level classes. The current show provides students who may not previously displayed their work with a formal gallery experience.

“Points of Departure” features works produced by students in foundation level drawing, photography, painting and graphic design courses. Yvonne Lebrun is a junior in the BFA program. She has paintings, drawings and photographs on display in the show.
