Songwriters Jamie Anderson, Dave Nachmanoff, and Hiroya Tsukamoto

Woodrow Willow

Join us for WUWF's long running live music program, broadcast each month from Historic Pensacola Village. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the show begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. On February 5, host Pat Crawford welcomes Jamie AndersonDave Nachmanoff, and Hiroya Tsukamoto.

Singer-songwriter-parking lot attendant Jamie Anderson has played her unique original songs in hundreds of venues in four countries, including forty-seven U.S. states and three Canadian provinces. She’s folk without the Birkenstocks, country without the big hair, pop without the meat dress, and jazz without the weird chords.

Her ten recordings have been featured on Good Morning America, the Dr. Demento radio show, NPR’s Car Talk, and stations all over the world. She loves being a musician, so she doesn’t really park cars, but her mama said she should have something to fall back on.

Dave Nachmanoff

Dave Nachmanoff saw Al Stewart live for the first time at Royal Albert Hall in London in 1985 and in 2006 came back and performed with him. At the age of ten he played with Libba Cotten (“Freight Train”). He’s led songwriting workshops for many groups, from German school children to the Silcocks, a family with 44 adopted boys.

In addition, he’s a heck of a songwriter in styles ranging from folk to pop who’s sold over 20,000 recordings. He’s shared the stage with Cheryl Wheeler, Steve Forbert, The Pogues, America, Rodney Crowell, Alison Krauss and many others.
