Florida Public Radio Emergency Network - Keep Up to Date With the Latest Information

FPREN Storm Center

Collectively covering 99% of the state, the FPREN stations are locally staffed and equipped to stay on the air even during times of massive power outages in order to deliver important information before, during and after an emergency.

Working in partnership with the Florida Division of Emergency Management and local Emergency Operations Centers, listeners can be assured of having access to the most up to date information.

WUWF has joined forces with Florida’s public radio stations statewide to form the Florida Public Radio Emergency Network (FPREN), communicating emergency information through a seamless system of free over the air FM radio as well as online and mobile applications.

During times of emergency, 88.1 FM and wuwf.org will have all of the information you need in one place. Arm yourself with a battery or crank-up radio and check here for tips on preparing yourself with an emergency plan.
