The
Capitol
Steps
Return
It’s
really
no
laughing
matter.
Are
you
sick
and
tired
of
listening
to
our
elected
officials’
partisan
sniping,
quibbling
and
bickering?
Rather
listen
to
bi-partisan
sniping
creatively
set
to
music?
Then
the
Capitol
Steps
are
for
you!
Now
that’s
a
laughing
matter.
The
Steps
will
be
back
in
Pensacola
on
Saturday,
January
30,
7:30
p.m.
If
you’ve
never
seen
the
Steps
in
concert
you
owe
it
to
yourself.
If
you
have,
then
no
explanation
is
necessary.
The
Capitol
Steps
are
one
thing
conservatives
and
liberals,
Democrats
and
Republicans
alike
can
totally
see
eye
to
eye
on
(once
they
wipe
away
the
tears
from
laughing
so
hard).
For
nearly
3
decades,
the
Steps
touring
troupes
have
been
showing
us
the
humor
in
American
politics
and
society.
Setting
their
satire
to
popular
songs
we
quickly
recognize,
but
creating
twists,
turns
and
pointy
places
in
the
lyrics,
they
help
us
laugh
at
ourselves
and
our
times.
Most
of
the
Steps
are
former
Capitol
Hill
staffers.
They
say
cumulatively
the
current
performers
have
worked
in a
total
of
eighteen
Congressional
offices
and
represent
62
years
of
collective
House
and
Senate
staff
experience.
Since
they
began
in
1981,
the
Capitol
Steps
have
recorded
29
albums,
including
their
latest,
Barackin'
Around
the
Christmas
Tree
and
Obama
Mia.
They've
also
been
featured
on
NBC,
CBS,
ABC,
and
PBS,
and
can
be
heard
4
times
a
year
on
National
Public
Radio
stations
nationwide
during
their
Politics
Takes
A
Holiday
radio
specials.
If
you
are
looking
for
a
gift
for
that
hard-to-fit-person-who-has-everything,
an
evening
of
laughter
after
all
the
holiday
hub-bub
is a
perfect
fit.
All
tickets
are
$35.00.
